Daily Scripture 9/24/2019
In the modern-day world, with many kids not growing up in Church, technology growing bigger, and don’t know what it’s like to have a relationship with God the world is becoming a much harder for the future generations of the world. Bad enough, kids are being bullied, but now kids are being bullied online too and no one is standing up for them and doing the right thing. If we were truly Christians, we wouldn’t care about being popular or having friends. We would care more about doing the right thing and lifting people up and bring them back to Christ. The goal of being a Christian is being Christlike.
Always remember what Jesus said in John chapter 5 verse 18
“If the world
What Jesus is saying is you won’t always be popular for standing up with what you believe in this is really important. As Christians, we need to love everybody and pray for them daily. Never back down when it comes to doing the right thing. If you see someone who is sad or seems to be getting bulled reach out to them. Think not only what would Jesus do, but what did he do and how can I apply this to my life. The goal of being a Christian is being Christ like as much as humanly possible.
Below I will give you some quotes from the Bible on how we should act and live our lives as Christians.
The first quote is from Matthew Chapter 5. A long time ago people wanted to see Jesus do miracles and heal people. So many people came that there were too many so Jesus went on top of a mountain known as the Sermon on the Mountain. This is one of the most important and revolutionary teaching Christ could have given. The “Beatitudes are eight blessings recounted by Jesus in the Sermon on the Mount in the Gospel of Matthew. Each is a proverb-like proclamation, without narrative.”
2 And he opened his mouth, and taught them, saying,
3 Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
4 Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted.
5 Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth.
6 Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.
7 Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy.
8 Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God.
9 Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.
10 Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness’ sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
11 Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake.
Matthew chapter 5 2-11
Mark Chapter 12 one of my favorite chapters in the Bible if not my favorite because it hits so many topics. It talks about the commandments in the Bible, It talks about money, it talks about boasting and pride.
I want to point out to you Mark chapter 12:28-31
28 And one of the scribes came, and having heard them reasoning together, and perceiving that he had answered them well, asked him, Which is the first commandment of all?
29 And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord:
30 And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment.
31 And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these.
