Seizing Opportunities

No matter what stage we are in our lives we often think man if only I talked to that girl or what if I had only done this, I would have been so much happier. So, today I want to talk to you about seizing and taking advantage of the opportunities that God laid out before us.
I want to first start off by sharing Matthew Chapter 6 verses 25-32 because it is very important to understanding that the first step to having a life we take more opportunities God brings into our lives is letter go of the past.

Matthew Chapter 6 verses 25-32
25 Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment? 26 Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they? 27 Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature? 28 And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin: 29 And yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. 30 Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and to morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith? 31 Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed? 32 (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things.
I truly believe in hard work no matter what you do in your life. If your life is filled with God and you are answering your calling and working really hard at it God will help provide I truly believe that. Do not worry about your life do not worry about the past. Just focus on the future at hand. If you feel the holy Spirit leading you to do something take that opportunity. God knows your heart, wants, and needs. Better then anyone so take those opportunities as they come and remember to thank God for them!
1 John 4:1-4

1Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world. 2Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God: 3And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world. 4Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.
What this is saying is if you truly believe that the Holy Spirit is leading you to do or say something. Take that opportunity, but we need to be carful which opportunities we take. There are many bad people on this earth and we need to go with the ones that are going to lift us up and pray for us. Not deceive us and bring us down.

Matthew 24:5

2And Jesus said unto them, See ye not all these things? verily I say unto you, There shall not be left here one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down. 3And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world? 4And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you. 5For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many. 6And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. 7For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. 8All these are the beginning of sorrows.

Many will come calming to be Jesus, and also calming to love Jesus and will be there to trick, deceive, and steal everything you have. So, we have to be careful who we let into our lives. There are truly amazing people God will send into your life but we have to know the difference.

God bless,
