Never Underestimate The Dangers Of Once Saved Always Saved.

Daily Scripture 04/18/19
Today I want to talk about what I have heard so many Churches say once saved, always saved!
“Once saved always saved is the position that when a person becomes a Christian he can never lose his salvation. The debate on this teaching has been raging within Christian circles for centuries. Many believe it is possible to lose one’s salvation, while others believe it is not.”

But, the Bible teaches time and time again that there is things that can take us away from God, Jesus, and The Holy Spirit. Yes, we go through trials and temptations as a test of our faith and commitment to God, but the term once saved always saved is very dangerous to our relationship with God. We need to live for God as much as humanly possible.

Even Jesus said,

Mark 10:18 18And Jesus said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God.
So this proves no one is good but our father in heaven!

Yes, the only way to be saved is through Jesus Christ and his death on the cross and the only way to get to heaven and to God is through Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ is the Savior of the world, he takes away our sins, he is the Messiah the one only way to God and heaven, but we can’t keep living in sin. We need to repent and be baptized and try our best to not sin anymore and if we do repent of our sins and let them be known to God in prayer.
This daily Scripture is going to be much longer than usual. This complicated topic but you can do sinful things after you’ve been saved that take you away from God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit.

First I want to point out to you Lucifer he was an angle in heaven Isaiah 14:12-15 – How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! [how] art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations! He is known as the fallen Angle and do you know who Lucifer is? The devil! The devil comes in all forms, shapes, and sizes. Just because Hollywood and man made him look like a red devil and pitch fork that isn’t how he looks at all. He comes in any form trying to deceive man and take him away from God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit.

I have a friend who tells me before you started living for God the devil had no reason to temp you but when you dedicate your whole life to God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit, Then the Devil will really start to tempt you and this is so true.

It says in the bible 1 Peter chapter 5 verse 8 8Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:

The Devil comes in all forms man, the words we use, and the products we buy not knowing the true meaning behind them. The devil will do anything to take you away from God but the good news is the bible teaches that if you submit yourself all of yourself the devil will leave.

James chapter 4 verse 7

7 Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

Isaiah chapter 14 verse 12-14:

12 How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!dI have a friend who tells me before you started living for God the devil had no reason to temp you but when you dedicate your whole life to God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit, Then the Devil will really start to tempt you and this is so true. 13 For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north: 14 I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High.

Now, let’s dive into the scripture that proves you can do sinful things that take you away from God.

Galatians chapter 5 verse 1-5:

1 Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage. Behold, I Paul say unto you, that if ye be circumcised, Christ shall profit you nothing. For I testify again to every man that is circumcised, that he is a debtor to do the whole law. Christ is become of no effect unto you, whosoever of you are justified by the law; ye are fallen from grace. For we through the Spirit wait for the hope of righteousness by faith. For in Jesus Christ neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision; but faith which worketh by love.

What this saying is By Christ dying for our sins he has made us free, saved us, and allowed us to have everlasting life if we are made ready on this earth. If you start living for worldly things, and do things that take away your relationship from God just like Paul said If you try to justify yourself by the law in the old and new testament you have fallen from God’s grace. We live by God’s grace alone, through the death of Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit and hope of righteousness by faith.

Hebrews chapter 3 verse 1-14:

1 Wherefore, holy brethren, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our profession, Christ Jesus;2 Who was faithful to him that appointed him, as also Moses was faithful in all his house. 3 For this man was counted worthy of more glory than Moses, inasmuch as he who hath builded the house hath more honour than the house. 4 For every house is builded by some man; but he that built all things is God. 5 And Moses verily was faithful in all his house, as a servant, for a testimony of those things which were to be spoken after; 6 But Christ as a son over his own house; whose house are we, if we hold fast the confidence and the rejoicing of the hope firm unto the end. 7 Wherefore (as the Holy Ghost saith, To day if ye will hear his voice, 8  Harden not your hearts, as in the provocation, in the day of temptation in the wilderness: 9 When your fathers tempted me, proved me, and saw my works forty years. 10 Wherefore I was grieved with that generation, and said, They do alway err in their heart; and they have not known my ways.11 So I sware in my wrath, They shall not enter into my rest.) 12 Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God. 13 But exhort one another daily, while it is called To day; lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin. 14 For we are made partakers of Christ, if we hold the beginning of our confidence stedfast unto the end;

John chapter 5 verse 24:

24 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.

Ezekiel 36:26-27

26A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh. 27And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them.

Revelation chapter 3 verse 5:

5 He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels.

Mark chapter 13 verse 13:

13 and ye shall be hated of all men for my name’s sake: but he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.

Matthew Chapter 7 verse 20-24:

20 Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them. 21 Not every one that saith unto me, LORD, LORD, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. 22 Many will say to me in that day, LORD, LORD, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? 23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity. 24 Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock:

12 And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. 13 And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works. 14And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. 15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.

Lambs boo of life: What is the Lambs book of life? “In Christianity and Judaism, the Book of Life (Hebrew: ספר החיים, transliterated Sefer HaChaimGreek: βιβλίον τῆς ζωῆς Biblíon tēs Zōēs) is the book in which God records the names of every person who is destined for Heaven or the World to Come.[citation needed] According to the Talmud it is open on Rosh Hashanah, as is its analog for the wicked, the Book of the Dead. For this reason extra mention is made for the Book of Life during Amidah recitations during the Days of Awe, the ten days between Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish new year, and Yom Kippur, the day of atonement (the two High Holidays, particularly in the prayer Unetaneh Tokef).”

Scripture that talks about the Lamb’s book of life:

Revelation 13:8 – And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.

Revelation 20:12 – And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is [the book] of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.

Revelation 3:5 – He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels.

Revelation 21:27 – And there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defileth, neither [whatsoever] worketh abomination, or [maketh] a lie: but they which are written in the Lamb’s book of life.

Revelation 20:15 – And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.

Revelation 3:1-6 – And unto the angel of the church in Sardis write; These things saith he that hath the seven Spirits of God, and the seven stars; I know thy works, that thou hast a name that thou livest, and art dead.

Revelation 20:11-15 – And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them.
Luke 10:20 – Notwithstanding in this rejoice not, that the spirits are subject unto you; but rather rejoice, because your names are written in heaven.

Exodus 32:33 – And the LORD said unto Moses, Whosoever hath sinned against me, him will I blot out of my book.

Psalms 69:28 – Let them be blotted out of the book of the living, and not be written with the righteous.

Malachi 3:16 – Then they that feared the LORD spake often one to another: and the LORD hearkened, and heard [it], and a book of remembrance was written before him for them that feared the LORD, and that thought upon his name.

Revelation 17:8 – The beast that thou sawest was, and is not; and shall ascend out of the bottomless pit, and go into perdition: and they that dwell on the earth shall wonder, whose names were not written in the book of life from the foundation of the world, when they behold the beast that was, and is not, and yet is.

Philippians 4:3 – And I intreat thee also, true yokefellow, help those women which laboured with me in the gospel, with Clement also, and [with] other my fellowlabourers, whose names [are] in the book of life.

Exodus 32:31-33 And Moses returned unto the LORD, and said, Oh, this people have sinned a great sin, and have made them gods of gold.

Daniel 12:1 – And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth for the children of thy people: and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation [even] to that same time: and at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book.

Nobody is perfect it is impossible to be perfect, but Though Jesus Christ’s death on the cross, resurrection, Gods Grace, being born again, repentance, and trying to live based on what Jesus did throughout the bible we will one day have ever lasting life in heaven.

Heaven will be amazing there will be no more sorrow, no more burdens to bare, no sickness, no pain it will be amazing, but the bible teaches

Matthew 7:11-16 11If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him? 12Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets. 13Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: 14Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it. 15Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. 16Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?

So, you need to join a church that will pray with you, Preach the truth, lift you up, help you grow closer to God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit. If you are born again as an adult will help you get Baptized in the name of the Father, Son, and The holy Spirit in Jesuses name.

You need to hear the true word of God because, the Bible teaches in
John chapter 8 verse 23

And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

if once you have confessed JESUS CHRIST as your lord and saver and are saved , you have eternal life ! and according to scripture your name is written in the book of life . How then can you lose it ? I understand once saved always saved is NOT a licenses to sin but a renewing of the mind ! that builds ones character and by the help of the Holy Spirit directs you for GODS will for your life ? I understand one can stray away … but GOD will bring you back ! through chasten one , for GOD chastises those he loves ! For me, I would not have become a JESUS fallower if I had to worry all the time about losing what JESUS has promised ! I know that it is not our efforts that keeps us , but it is what JESUS did for us … and scripture teaches that JESUS will complete what he has began in you !?

      Hello,

Thank you so very much for your comment! I really enjoyed it. Below I will start by putting the verses that were related to me when praying about this type of doctine and belife. I strongly reccomend that you go and read the whole chapters if you don’t have time to read every chapter of the verses I put then, I strongly reccomend you read Revelation chapter 3 and Deuteronomy Chapter 19. I agree with you for the most part but it becomes a problem if we continue in sin for too long. To God Sin is sin no matter how big or how small. So, If I’m once saved always saved I could kill someone and still make it to heaven? I know everyone sins and falls sort to the glory of God but if we continue in sin for too long we can fall away from God. We need to stay in a relationship with Jesus in other words it is our choice whether or not we want to do that. That is why in John 3:16 it uses the word whosoever. Whosoever comes to the knowledge of God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit. Repents of their sins shell be saved. If we were always saved why would their be a word called repentence? Why would we feel confiction from the Holy Spirit. If were always saved why would we have fear and trembling if we were awlays saved. Jesus will stay faithful to us if we stay faithful to him and keep repending of all our sins. Past, prestent and future. Most importantly stopping living in sin. The goal of a Christ is to live as much like Jesus Christ as humanly possible.

I agree with John 10:28-30 whole heartedly “28 And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. 29 My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father’s hand. 30 I and my Father are one.” I agree that no MAN can pluck you out of Gods hands but continuing in sin for to long can destroy our relationship with God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit. Continuing in sin for too long can absolutly take us away from God, Jesus, and the Holy Sprirt.

Another verse I want to point out to you my friend is Hebrews 10:26 “For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins,”

      Revelation 3:5
He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels.

      Deuteronomy 9:14
Let me alone, that I may destroy them, and blot out their name from under heaven: and I will make of thee a nation mightier and greater than they.
      Colossians 2:14
      Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross;
      Acts 3:19
      Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord;
      Jeremiah 18:23
Yet, LORD, thou knowest all their counsel against me to slay me: forgive not their iniquity, neither blot out their sin from thy sight, but let them be overthrown before thee; deal thus with them in the time of thine anger.
      Isaiah 44:22
I have blotted out, as a thick cloud, thy transgressions, and, as a cloud, thy sins: return unto me; for I have redeemed thee.
      Isaiah 43:25
I, even I, am he that blotteth out thy transgressions for mine own sake, and will not remember thy sins.
      Proverbs 9:7
He that reproveth a scorner getteth to himself shame: and he that rebuketh a wicked man getteth himself a blot.
      Exodus 32:32
Yet now, if thou wilt forgive their sin–; and if not, blot me, I pray thee, out of thy book which thou hast written.
      Exodus 32:33
And the LORD said unto Moses, Whosoever hath sinned against me, him will I blot out of my book.

Also a very important verse to point out

      John 15:10 Context

7If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you. 8Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples. 9As the Father hath loved me, so have I loved you: continue ye in my love. 10If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father’s commandments, and abide in his love. 11These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full. 12This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you. 13Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.

John 15:5-6 5 I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing. 6 If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned.

I am always learning and always growing my knowledage and faith. I believe the Bible to be 100% true. If you give me good reasons on why I’m wrong I will pray about it and see if the wholy spirit teaches that to me. I will pray for you and you should pray for me as well.

Love you brotha never be afarid to comment on my posts if you agree or disagree.

God Bless in the name of Jesus,

      Patrick
