Daily Scripture 4/8/19

As we grow nearer to Easter, we will continue to study the prophecies of Christ and His crucifixion. We need to understand the importance of these crucifixion prophecies in how, just as they came true, so will those about His second coming will also be fulfilled. We need to understand that God can not lie, He is true to His Word and wants His children to know His will. Just as Isaiah spoke about Jesus, would come to His own and they would reject Him. He would suffer for our transgressions with Him having none of His own. He will be born of grief and will suffer greatly for us. He will be the reason for our peace when He had very little of His own. Even though the modern world has turned from Him even they know. of Him. Until, recently time was divided by His life and death. It was BC which stood for Before Christ and AD which stood for Year of our Lord. They may have changed their meanings in School books today, but they can’t deny that is the original meaning. They now us BC and BCE. The meaning of AD is Anno Domini or Year of our Lord referring to the year of Christ’s birth. The meaning of BC is Before Christ. CE is a recent term. It refers to Common Era and is used in place of A.D. the dates are the same i.e., 2009 AD is 2009 CE. BCE means Before Common Era. For example 400 BC is 400 BCE. So even in denying Him that must recognize His existence. Is. 53:4-12 4 Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. 5 But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed. 6 All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all. 7 He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth: he is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so he openeth not his mouth. 8 He was taken from prison and from judgment: and who shall declare his generation? for he was cut off out of the land of the living: for the transgression of my people was he stricken. 9 And he made his grave with the wicked, and with the rich in his death; because he had done no violence, neither was any deceit in his mouth. 10 Yet it pleased the LORD to bruise him; he hath put him to grief: when thou shalt make his soul an offering for sin, he shall see his seed, he shall prolong his days, and the pleasure of the LORD shall prosper in his hand. 11 He shall see of the travail of his soul, and shall be satisfied: by his knowledge shall my righteous servant justify many; for he shall bear their iniquities. 12 Therefore will I divide him a portion with the great, and he shall divide the spoil with the strong; because he hath poured out his soul unto death: and he was numbered with the transgressors; and he bare the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors. Even though He was rejected by Jews there were many who were converted and believed in Him, there is a great reward for those . This is the same reward we can expect. John 1: 10-12 10 He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not. 11 He came unto his own, and his own received him not. 12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: Denying or rejecting Jesus is folly but, if you would return to Him or start to believe on Him your sins will be forgiven and you shall be saved.
