Today I would like to share with you something that the Lord has laid on my heart. We are going to be discussing mysteries. Yes, there are somethings we will not know until the time for them to be revealed has come. However, the important things we need to know have been revealed in Jesus and His resurrection. He was forever teaching and preaching the things we need to understand. Everything we need to know is in The Word of God. The Bible, is inspired by God, infallible, and most importantly relevant today as it was when it was written. I am once again, amazed at supposed learned people saying the Old Testament does not pertain to us. Well that and other lies taught by the devil is why they never come to the knowledge of the Truth and why there are some many mysteries to them. By studying the Word and allowing the Holy Spirit to discern it for us we can know and understand what they think are mysteries. Luke in his writings of Christ recorded this lesson taught to him by Christ about the parable of the seed shower.Luke 8:9-11 And his disciples asked him, saying, What might this parable be? 10.And he said, Unto you it is given to know the mysteries of the kingdom of God: but to others in parables; that seeing they might not see, and hearing they might not understand. 11.Now the parable is this: The seed is the word of God.Yes, if we are seeking Him and learning of Him the mysteries will be known to us. We must diligently seek Him, that is why we need to study our bibles and pray for understanding. Job endured a lit in his life with God and learned many of the mysteries of God here is teaching us that if we want the wisdom or understanding we need to reach for it.Job 11:6-9, 13 And that he would shew thee the secrets of wisdom, that they are double to that which is! Know therefore that God exacteth of thee less than thine iniquity deserveth. 7.Canst thou by searching find out God? canst thou find out the Almighty unto perfection? 8.It is as high as heaven; what canst thou do? deeper than hell; what canst thou know? 9.The measure thereof is longer than the earth, and broader than the sea.13. If thou prepare thine heart, and stretch out thine hands toward him;Get your life right and continue in your life with Christ and we can know the mysteries of Christ. Just as Amos tells us God will reveal His mysteries through the prophets we need only need them.Amos 3:7 Surely the Lord GOD will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets. There is so much more in God’s Word about mysteries that he does not want us to be ignorant of, just as Paul wrote:Romans 11:25 For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in.Yes, there are mysteries we will only learn when the time for them is revealed but, we do not have to be ignorant of the things relevant to Christ and our salvation, and our daily walk with Him. We just have to be willing to study the Word, the whole Word, and seek Him. Part of seeking Him includes attending church regularly at a Bible believing church that preaches and teaches His Word.
