More Genesis

We will continue going through genesis verse by verse in English and in Japanese because it is very important to understand God’s words and where we came from.

Genesis 1:4
Japanese With Kanji:
Japanese without Kanji: かみはそのひかりをみて、よしとされた。かみはそのひかりとやみとをわけられた。
English: And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness.

What this is saying is God created light, darkness, day, and night.

Genesis 1:5 
Japanese With Kanji: 神は光を昼と名づけ、やみを夜と名づけられた。夕となり、また朝となった。第一日である。
Japanese without Kanji: かみはひかりをひるとなづけ、やみをよるとななづけられた。またあさとなった。だいにちである。
English: And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day.

Genesis 1:6
Japanese With Kanji: 神はまた言われた、「水の間におおぞらがあって、水と水とを分けよ」。
Japanese Without Kanji: かみはまたいわれた、「みずのあいだにおおぞらがあって、みずとみずとをわけよ」。
English: And God said, Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters.

What this is saying is God dived the earth from heaven and the waters.

神(かみ) – God
光(ひかり) – Light
地(ち) – Earth
天(てん) – Heaven
創造(そうぞう) – Creation
為る(する) – To do; to carry out; To perform
創世記 (そうせいき) – The book of Genesis
良し (よし)- Good; excellent; fine; nice; pleasant; agreeable
良 (りょう) – Good
朝 (あさ) – Morning
また – Again; and; also; still (doing something)​
となったら – Where … is concerned; when it becomes; if it becomes
firmament – The heavens or the sky, especially when regarded as a tangible thing. It comes from a Latin word that communicates the idea of a piece of metal that was hammered thin into a dome that encased the earth.
