Daily Preaching 12/23/2018
“Wisdom Defined. In the Biblical sense, wisdom is the ability to judge correctly and to follow the best course of action, based on knowledge and understanding.” We need to pray daily that we grow with Gods word. We need to ask for the Wisdom, knowledge, AND ability to understand Gods words! We need to ask for the strength to show Gods good works in our everyday lives. If we are good with computers help out at the local church. If we are a producer ask the local Churches if they want to record a CD. If we are welders, Wood Workers, and good at making things we should make the star of bethlehem, and other things that are in the Bible. If we own a store put up things about God or even sell religous items. We can learn more and more by studying, Going to school, and getting a degree, BUT the most imporant Wisdom is the Bible. People we need to read the Bible and study it daily. We need to find what God is calling us to do! We need to plant the seed!
2My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations; 3Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience. 4But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing. 5If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him. 6But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed. 7For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord. 8A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.
What this is saying is read the Bible, Try your best not to fall into temptations, but if you do ask God to forgive you. If you lack wisdom ask God for the understanding, Liberally, and upbraideth (“without reproaching or faultfinding”) and it shell be given to you. Make sure you ask faithfully. Below is James 1 in Japanese!
13Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye. 14And above all these things put on charity, which is the bond of perfectness. 15And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful. 16Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.17And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him. 18Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as it is fit in the Lord. 19Husbands, love your wives, and be not bitter against them.
